NYC Century & Vision Zero – America’s Only All-Urban 100 Mile Bike Tour
MPF supports the Annual NYC Century Tour and the Mayor’s Vision Zero Plan to reduce cyclist and pedestrian fatalities and injuries by recruiting volunteers to man a tour rest stop in Brooklyn, where the MP Foundation was founded and has strong ties. Civic minded volunteers come out, some as early as 5:00 AM to set up, and keep things safe and moving efficiently as 7,000 cyclists come through Marine Park that day. Thanks to Madison and Midwood High Schools, The NYPD Explorers from the 63rd Precinct, the Marine Park Alliance, the Madison-Marine-Homecrest Civic Association and all of the individuals who volunteer for exhibiting the traits that the MPF seeks to promote, recognize and encourage. We’ll see you again in September, next year!
